This delightful cafe and wine bar enjoys its location in the old village core of Hal Balzan in the heart of Malta. Winebar remains a local favourite and offers various nibbles for small meals. All sorts of hot and cold drinks along local and foreign wines are available.

Fra Giuseppe is placed on a 300-year-old house that was the retreat of the eminent Maltese doctor Rev Dr Giuseppe Zammit. Recently in 2003, the historic house was bought. The present owners Stefan and Kelly Agius have refurbished the place today to be enjoyed with friends and family members. This is a place to socialise in a great atmosphere and in fabulous indoor and outdoor areas.

Fra Giuseppe also serves as a mini art gallery thanks to its collaboration with The Picture House.
The wine list here includes both new and old world wines. The menu dishes equally accompany the drinks and range from typical Maltese Ftiras to Fondues, Platters, Salads and wraps. When in here, always look out for daily specials written over on the blackboard. There is plenty to chose from tasty and hearty meals.

The restaurant also caters to private functions and group parties. Set menus offer great value.
