Positioned at the water’s edge in the Valletta Bastions, the historic structure has been creatively restored to form an eating place named Haywharf. The large plated glass windows give a divine feeling of old and new interiors. The historic views span across the harbour from the Ta’ Xbiex marina to Manoel Island and Sliema. A warm atmosphere is created with the help of solid wood tables, wood-paneled walls, natural wooden floorboards and mellow lighting. The indoor lounge is provided on the ‘clubhouse terrace’ that holds an indoor bar area. It also includes additional lounge seating and standing heaters in winters.
Delightful starters are encompassed to form an exclusive à la carte menu. These consist of black shelled mussels steamed in coconut milk with spring onions and garlic, pineapple juice, curry and fresh coriander and cherry tomatoes. Mains follow your course into the pool of deliciousness. Items included are the charcoal grilled beef rib tagliata served with rucola, grana shavings, air dried cherry tomatoes, and drizzled with extra virgin olive oil and lemon. Fresh fish of the day is also on the menu. Three other set menus are available offering remarkably well-priced items.

A good variety of cocktails and delicious snacks like snacks platters, gourmet burgers and cheesy nachos.
