Il-Merill is the most precious gem in the Sliema’s list of restaurants. It sits in a quiet street located a walk away from Sliema seafront. Patrick and Melanie are the proud owners who run the restaurant with equalizing passion and gratitude, not to mention their culinary skills.
The menu contains a set of traditional dishes from Maltese dining. Patrick holds the operations of food preparations and offers a unique presentation in each offering. Some usually ordered examples are Hearty portions of rabbit, octopus, bragoli (beef olives) and platters of typical Maltese produce. Other dishes to complement these are ranging pasta, meats and seafood. Daily catch is easily available along with fresh market produce. Desserts are the sweetening specialty as they are made in-house, according to the daily concepts.
Though the food leaves a mark on your taste buds, the welcoming atmosphere here is exquisite. Be it a first-time diner or a regular visitor, staff always welcome you with efficient service and friendly smile.
The restaurant is open from Monday to Saturday, serving both lunch and dinner. Guests are should book their seats in advance on busy weekends.
