Recently, Strait Street in Valetta has undergone a new lifestyle.

Henceforth, this vintage place of Second World War has been transformed into chic clubs and restaurants.

In addition, injecting a new sense of entertainment in the dining experience is the Palazzo Preca. The restaurant is located inside a 16th-century palazzo. The history of this palazzo is unknown to most of the people which make the place more interesting. The inviting interiors have a lightly subdued feel with candles on every table. Romona Preca holds the functioning of the kitchen while her husband Jan manages the front area.

When your reach Palazzo Preca, you will be startled by the broad spectrum of the seasonal menu. The list starts from fish and seafood and goes onto specialties like prawns, octopus, calamari, lobster and fresh fish cooked and served with potatoes, fresh vegetables or salad, the cold and warm starters includes prawn carpaccio, fresh oysters, calamari fritti and mushrooms vol-au-vent with blue cheese.

In addition, the menu includes special dishes for meat lovers. The deserts column displays an array of sweets like the pumpkin cake with choco chips and ice cream. Finally, The wine list features a house wine produced locally from grapes of a private vineyard. This drink is exclusively for Palazzo Preca.
